Crying Out for Justice for Dionisio Díaz García
Dionisio Díaz García, Honduran, Christian, known as the "lawyer of the poor" for his work defending the labor rights of impoverished workers, was assassinated on December 4, 2006. Justice has yet to be done. But your voice can make a difference.

PRIORITY ACTION: Contact Honduras' New Security Minister

Please take a moment to write to Honduras' Security Minister, asking him to ensure Dionisio's alleged killers neither escape from prison nor are harmed while in custody.

Escapes from Honduras' prisons and murders within them are monthly occurrences. There are strong indicators that the people who hired these hitmen have enough resources to easily arrange for their escape or their assassination-unless the Honduran government implements special security measures.

Unfortunately, despite repeated requests, to our knowledge such measures have not been taken.

Please take a moment to write a letter to Honduras' Minister of Security, who is the ultimate authority for Honduras' police and prison systems, asking him to make sure the hitmen neither escape nor are harmed. You can use this sample letter if you'd like. If you like, you can send copies of your letter to other Honduran officials and to AJS or to our Honduran partner organization, ASJ.
